H&T Industrial invest in Transfer Presses
H&T Industrial’s dedication in striving to achieve what others are not capable of has meant that we have fast become one of the world’s leading manufacturers of deep-drawn metal components.
H&T Industrial’s highest priority is customer satisfaction; we boost customer satisfaction by investing in our business to improve our total operational efficiency.
To help achieve this, we have recently invested in three new transfer presses, which will soon be added to H&T Industrial’s production line. The high speed presses operate using a multi cut servo feed system and are all designed with SMED (single-minute exchange of dies) tooling which reduces overall set up times.
The new presses will support H&T Industrial’s continued growth and allow us to increase our capacity for new and current customers. The extra capacity also allows H&T Industrial to mitigate supply risk for our customers, increasing our contingency capabilities.
Following on from the introduction of the new presses, H&T Industrial held a workshop to review and help improve the layout of the manufacturing facility, supported by our internal lean manufacturing programme, H&T Excellence.
Over the coming months H&T Industrial will undertake a large-scale reorganisation of its manufacturing area, where a more efficient and lean manufacturing layout will be introduced based on the principles of one-piece flow manufacturing and best practice.
