Heitkamp & Thumann Group Chairman visits H&T Industrial
On the 25th October 2019, Christian Diemer, Chairman of the Heitkamp & Thumann Group, visited H&T Industrial alongside Christian Krätzig, Chairman of H&T Battery Components (Alkaline Division) and Julian Hemy, Co-chairman for H&T Presspart for a guided tour around the site.
During the visit they were given a tour of the manufacturing facility including an update on the progress of the new manufacturing layout which is being introduced throughout 2019 and 2020 to further improve quality and support our lean manufacturing principles.
As H&T Industrial has grown as a precision engineering company our current factory layout developed constraints, both in material movement and manufacturing efficiency. With high growth expectations continuing, managing and eliminating those constraints was important to ensure that we are able to maintain our high level of on-time, in-full delivery performance.
During the visit with our group executive committee members, the plant tour highlighted how much more efficient and ‘free-flowing’ the new layout will be.
These changes have had a positive impact on H&T Industrial and the tour was a huge success amongst our internal members. We look forward to showing our completed new layout to our customers in the near future whilst continuing on our improvements journey.
