Triumph in MAKE UK Awards
H&T Presspart, alongside the help of our H&T Industrial Business Unit, is extremely pleased to be announced as winners in the ‘Manufacturing Matters’ category at this year’s MAKE UK Awards for the North West region. Like most events these days, the ceremony was a virtual one and gave finalists the chance to network with each other using a virtual chatroom.
The ‘Manufacturing Matters’ category focused on exceptional adaptability and resilience during business operations but more specifically this year, the response to the unprecedented challenges faced globally as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Much like many others through these unsettling times, both H&T Presspart and H&T Industrial had to adapt through the wake of coronavirus in order to continue to supply deep-drawn metal components.
The award is a great achievement for the site and is a credit to the employees behind the work recognised for this award.
H&T Presspart’s Managing Director Tony Cross said “H&T Presspart Blackburn, working with our suppliers and through the philosophy of one team, ensured that the site delivered our customer requirements on time and in full throughout the pandemic. This was realised by pooling our resources together, respecting one another and making individual sacrifices to ensure this happened. I am incredibly proud of how the site and its employees came together and adapted to a crisis that continues to challenge us all. We will ensure, in the uncertain months to come, that we continue to attain the standards we have set through the spirit of our common purpose values trust, responsibility and resilience.”
H&T Industrial’s Commercial Manager, added, ‘the team work and team spirit within Presspart is remarkable and this award recognises the effort and dedication of every individual in the company. Receiving an award from MAKE UK is an honour we are all justifiably proud of.”
MAKE UK champions engineering & manufacturing in the UK, supporting businesses around the country whilst building a platform for the evolution of UK manufacturing. Originally called the EEF (Engineering Employers Federation) the organisation has been established for over 100 years but re-branded to Make UK in 2019.
Now that we have been recognised in these regional awards, we qualify for the national awards with further details to be announced later in the year.
We would like to congratulate everyone on site and those involved in the application process. This is a fantastic accolade for H&T Presspart especially during an unprecedented year filled with many challenges.
